Youth Sailing World Championship 2023 - Buzios BRA - Day 3

There were light winds on day 3 of the Junior World Championship in Buzios, which particularly favored the Italians, who now lead the classifications in the men's ILCA 6 (Mattia Cesana ITA), the women's ILCA 6 (Emma Mattivi ITA), the women's iQ-Foil Windsurf (Carola Colasanto ITA) and the men's 420 (Quan Cardi/Mattia Tognocchi ITA). In the men's iQ-Foil, Stanislav Trepczynski POL took the lead with three race wins, 2 points ahead of Leonardo Tomasini ITA. Max Maeder SGP, who has won all 8 races in the men's kite foils, continues to excel. Catalina Turienzo ARG and Derin Atakan TUR share the lead in the women's kite foils. Hugo Revil/Karl Devaux FRA are still clearly at the top of the 29ers, with Alex Demurtas/Giovanni Santi ITA the only ones able to keep up halfway, 14 points behind. Ewa Lewandowska/Julia Zmudzinska POL continue to lead the women's ranking of the 29ers by a clear margin. Joana Faulhaber/Gabriela Vassel BRA are still on their way to the title in the women's 420.
