20-25kn wind and big waves made yesterday a sporty day in Japan. All classes were able to sail 3 races each which brought big changes at the top. ----- In the 470, the Australians took over: Matthew Belcher/Will Ryan AUS (today 1/1/2) lead the men, Mia Jerwood/Monique De Vries AUS (today 4/2/2) took rank 1 in the women 470. ----- In the 49ers, Tim Fischer/Fabian Graf GER moved on top 9 points ahead of Buksak/Wierzbicki POL. ----- After a capsize festival in the 49ersFX, only 5 teams finished the last race of the day within the time limit. New at the top are Annemiek Bekkering/Annette Duetz NED. 8 points behind follow Julie Bossard/Aude Compan FRA on rank 2. ----- In the Finns, Nicholas Heiner NED is new on 1st with Tom Rawshaw CAN and Ioannis Mitakis GRE as first pursuers. ----- In the Nacra 17, the motto was to foil or not to foil ...... in order to avoid capsizing ! New at the top are Ben Saxton/Nicola Boniface GBR, Jason Waterhouse/Lisa Darmanin AUS and Nathan and Haylee Outteridge AUS follow with equal points in 2nd and 3rd place. ----- In the Lasers, the World Champion Pavlos Kontides CYP climbed on top ahead of Tonci Stipanovic CRO and Jean-Baptiste Bernaz FRA. ----- In the Laser Radial, Emma Plaesschart BEL succeeded to reclaim rank 1 ahead of Anne-Marie Rindom DEN and Manami Doi JPN on 2nd and 3rd. ----- Louis Giard FRA continues to lead the men's RS:X windsurfers ahead of Pierre Le Coq FRA and Kun Bi CHN. ----- Yunxiu Lu CHN extended her lead with bullets to 11 points.
