After two races held yesterday in an 11-14kn breeze at the 12 Metre Worlds in Newport R.I., the situation remains close in three of the five divisions.
In the 'Grand Prix Division', the advantage of 'Legacy' of Thomas Andersen DEN (with Jesper Bank DEN), twice on 3rd yesterday, is down to one point. In the 'Traditionals Division', 'Columbia' of Kevin Hagarty USA kept a 2 point lead. In the 'Spirit Division', 'America II' (US-42) of Scott Curtis USA is now ahead on a tiebreaker with 'America II' (US-46) of Michael Fortenbaugh USA.
In the 'Modernes Division' however, 'Challenge 12' of Jack Le Fort USA (Ken Read USA tactics) has a 4 point advantage, and 'Nyala' of Patrizio Bertelli ITA (with Mauro Pelaschier ITA) is now even 7 points in front in the 'Vintage Division'.
