The IRC class bigboat duel remains tight, as after the two wins of Sir Lindsay Owen Jones Wally Cento 'Magic Carpet 3', it was the Reichel Pugh 83 foot one off 'Vera' of Miguel Galiccio ITA (with Bouwe Bekking NED as strategist) who won the second windward-leeward yesterday.
Position changes in the TP52 where Tina Plattner GER/RSA on 'Phoenix' is now on top one point ahead of 'Quantum Racing' of Doug Devos USA (with Ed Baird USA). 'Platoon' of Harm Müller Spreer GER and 'Alegre' with Sebasting Tenghage MON on 3rd and 4th are 4 points behind the leader. The ten strong TP52 fleet are in full dress rehearsal mode, preparing for the start of the 52 Super Series in Mahon, Menorca next weekend.
Two Swiss boats are among the participants: 'Music' the Baltic 50 SUI of Ruedi Huber/Max Rieger is 12th among the 21 ORC1 division yachts.
'Velum Lucerna' SUI, an IMS42, is 3rd in the eight boat ORC2 division .

All 110 boats, split in 13 ORC and One Design Classes were racing on Palma Bay on the second day of the 16th PalmaVela yesterday. For the details on race day 2, visit the event website and take note of the results by linking to the respective class on the result overview page.
