RS:X-Windsurfer - Semaine Olympique - Hyères FRA - Day 5

Strengthening westwinds from the shore prevailed yesterday on Hyeres Bay and with up to 30kn at the end of the day, racing was quite challenging.
No problem for the leading Mattia Camboni ITA in the RS:X men where he extended his lead on 28 points and is the premature winner before the Medal Race of today. Thomas Goyard FRA, Daniele Benedetti ITA and Piotr Myszka POL, separated by 7 points only, will fight for Silver and Bronze.
In the RS:X women, Charline Picon FRA has a solid 14 point lead on Peina Chen CHN before the Medal Race. The backlog of Yunxiu Lu CHN on rank 3 is considerable.
The rest of the fleets will race a sail-off today.
