IMOCA Open 60 - Défi Azimut - Lorient FRA - Day 1. Alain Roura SUI

Yesterday, the Open 60 'Défi Azimut' - a three days' series consisting of a solo 24-hour longdistance race and speed shorrt races for teams - was kicked off in Lorient FRA. With only 7 weeks before the start to the 'Route de Rhum', 15 solo skippers opted for this event as a tune-up race. The start was given yesterday evening at 18h UTC.
This morning, Samantha Davies GBR with her 'Initiatives de Coeur' was in the lead, 2,6nm ahead of Paul Meilhat FRA ('SMA') on rank 2. Vincent Riou FRA with his 'PRB' is 3,3nm behind on 3rd. Alain Roura SUI, for the first time on his foil-equipped 'La Fabrique', is on rank 10 with a 32nm backlog.
