Sunshine and the classic Marseille seabreeze of around 15kn dominated the opening day of the Olympic Worldcup Finals. The dinghies sailed 2 races, the windsurfers and catamarans could complete three races. In the 470er men Jordi Xammar/Nicolas Rodriguez ESP are leading one point ahead of Tetsuya Isozaki/Akira Takayanagi JPN, in the womens 470 Hannah Mills/Eilidh McIntyre GBR are 5 points clear of 3 boats on equal points: Cornudella/Lopez ESP, Berta/Caruso ITA and Mas-Depares/Cornero ESP. In the Finn Nenad Bugarin CRO took the lead followed by Alican Kaynar TUR and Josh Junior NZL. After 3 races in the Nacra 17 the experienced teams are on top: Vittorio Bissaro/Maelle Frascari ITA are leading one point ahead of John Gimson/Anna Burnett GBR. Pavel Tarnowski POL is leading the windsurf men, lilian De Geus NED and Hei Man CHN share the lead in the RS:X-Women.
