VOR65 - Ocean Race 2017/18 - Leg 6 - Day 8

The fleet, sailing on a tight reach, is enjoying trade wind sailing conditions on a southeasterly course towards the doldrums some 1000 miles away. In about 30hrs, the teams will reach the innertropical convergence zone, the crucial passage for the outcome of leg 6.
'AkzoNobel' (Simeon Tienpont NED) and 11nm behind 'Scallywag' (David Witt AUS) defended their lead on the rest of the fleet. 'Brunel' (Bouwe Bekking NED) on rank 3 is 47nm back.
