Olympic Worldcup 2018 Olympic Classes Regatta Miami FL, USA Day 3 the Swiss
For the first time, a fresh 18-20kn breeze prevailed yesterday on Biscayne Bay, too much for Mateo Sanz-Lanz SUI who dived on rank 18 in the RS:X men windsurfers. Two races remain in the Qualifcation Series today.
Clearly on track for the Medal Race however are Sébastien Schneiter/Lucien Cujean SUI, who moved up on rank 6 in the 49ers yesterday. Solid performance of Nils Theuninck in the Finns on rank 12 overall, but the 17 points' deficit on the Medal Race cut is probably too big.
A premature start destroyed the chances of Kilian Wagen/Grégoire Siegwart SUI for the Medal Race in the 470 men, as they are now on rank 18, 28 points behind the cut. Somewhat better is the position of Linda Fahrni/Maja Siegenthaler SUI on rank 14 only 8 points behind rank 10 in the 470 women.
In the Lasers Radial, the two Swiss are on the positions 24 (Maud Jayet SUI) and 40 (Andrea Nordquist SUI). Eliot Merceron SUI remains on rank 42 in the Lasers Standard.
