Yesterday, the fleet was about to veer West, the leading trio in the North as well as the bulk of the fleet in the South. Inspite of a longer distance, the southern group has again reduced the backlog on the leaders thanks to fresher winds providing for a 2kn faster speed. The 4th-ranked 'Armor Lux' (Tabarly/ Chabagny FRA) is now 115nm behind the leaders Sébastien Simon/Morgan Lagravière FRA. Hardy/Ruyant FRA on 2nd is 5nm back. The all-female Justine Mettraux SUI/Isabelle Joschke GER/FRA team on 9th reduced the backlog on 161nm.
