The announced weather change with fresh westerly winds hit the fleet during the past night and the average velocity of 40 kn with gusts in the 50ies forced some skippers to abandon the race, so also the co-favorite Anthony Marchand FRA. Meanwhile, the breeze is down on 25 kn. The new leader after two thirds of the leg was Adrien Hardy FRA, 1,8 nm ahead of Nicolas Lunven FRA. Sébastien Simon FRA and Charlie Dalin FRA followed not far behind. The best woman Justine Mettraux SUI (Magenta Project ) advanced on rank 8 with a 4,5 nm backlog.
