Bouwmeester NLD sailed her only direct opponent Mathilde de Kerangat FRA merciless down the fleet and with this fight, the French even dropped on rank 3 behind the winner of the Medal Race Lijia Xu CHN.
The ranks 1 and 2 in the Lasers Standard went to Nick Thompson GBR and his training's partner Elliot Hanson GBR. Tom Burton AUS, only 9th in the Medal Race, took Bronze.
