The two leading Maxi-Trimarans have reached the trade-winds yesterday and continue their speed race at up to 30 kn average. François Gabart FRA with his 'Macif' was first this morning with a 10 miles' advantage on 'SodebO' with Thomas Coville FRA. In the Multi-50, Lou Roucayol FRA solidly keeps the first position now already 123 miles in front of his opponents. The Open 60 have been opting for a northern route where a new West front is approaching. Armel Le Cléac'h FRA ('Banque Populaire') leads 15 miles ahead on Vincent Riou FRA ('PRB'). Jean-Pierre Dick FRA ('St.Michel-Virbac') with a 37 miles backlog remains a fierce challenger. Leader change in the Class 40, also sailing on a northern route, with Armel Tripon FRA new on rank 1. Thibaut Vauchel FRA on the 2nd place is now 25 miles back.
