Yesterday, only a light thermal breeze of 5-8 kn prevailed on Palma Bay and the light-wind specialists and allrounders had their day in the two races.
The leader Julio Alsogaray ARG dived on rank 9 in the Lasers Standard and Andrew Maloney NZL took the lead ahead of Kristian Ruth NOR with a 2 points' deficit. New on rank 3 is Charlie Buckingham USA, best of the day (ranks 3 and 1). Robert Scheidt BRA remains on 4th.
In the Lasers Radial, it was the day of the favorite Evi Van Acker BEL winning both heats and taking the overall lead ahead of Alison Young GBR and Tuula Tenkanen FIN on 2nd and 3rd. The World Champion Anne-Marie Rindom DEN lost her lead with the day ranks 12 and 16 and is now 5th.
