Olympic Worldcup 2016 Olympic Classes Regatta Miami FL, USA Day 1 the Swiss
Light and shifty winds on Biscayne Bay made sailing difficult on the first day of the Miami Olympic Classes Worldcup event.
Matias Bühler/Nathalie Brugger SUI demonstrated once more their skills in the first race of the Nacra 17 finishing 3rd, but the second race will hopefully remain the discard as rank 26 is weighting heavily in the overall rankings with position 13 for the moment. An excellent 2nd race rank was a rewarding begin for Guillaume Girod SUI in the Lasers Standard. He ends the first day on rank 13 among the 100 participants. A good start also for Lucie Ben-Amor SUI finishing the only race of her group in the Radials on rank 10, i.e. rank 19 in the consolidated results. Andrea Nordquist SUI follows on position 56. A premature start and a failed race leave Sébastien Schneiter/Lucien Cujean SUI on the disappointing 59th rank in the 49ers.
