470 - World Championship 2019 - Enoshima JPN - Final results, the Swiss

The 470 World Championships on the Olympic waters of Enoshima JPN were concluded this morning UTC with the Medal Races with only small modifications on the podium. ----- Matthew Belcher/Will Ryan AUS secured their seventh World Champion title ahead of Jordi Xammar/Nicolas Rodriguez ESP. Thanks to winning the Medal Race, Dahlberg/Bergström SWE moved up on the Bronze rank. ----- In the 470 women, Hannah Mills/Eilidh McIntyre GBR won the duel against Ai Kondo/Miho Yoshioka JPN. Bronze went to Camille Lecointre/Aloise Retornaz FRA. ----- The Olympic nations berth went in the Men to Greece, Russia, China and Turkey, in the Women to Poland, Australia, Brazil, the Netherlands, New Zealand and Germany. ----- The two Swiss 470s missed the qualification and will have to prepare for the final opportunity at the Genoa Worldcup event in 2020 where one last place will be at stake. Linda Fahrni/Maja Siegenthaler SUI were only 3 points behind the 6th nation rank. They apparently had difficulties with the prevailing rough conditions. Kilian Wagen/Grégoire Siegwart SUI were not too far from selection finishing the Championship on rank 20. ----- The ranking lists and the news.
